Laser Treatment
We at Agoura-Los Robles Podiatry Centers perform laser treatment to combat nail fungus. Currently we are using the Cutera Genesis Plus laser, an FDA approved laser, sporting a 5mm laser circumference. Laser treatment is one of the options we have available to help you treat nail fungus. As one of the first practices to offer laser treatment in the Conejo Valley we have performed the procedure hundreds of times and are experts at eliminating fungus.
Foot and Ankle Surgery
The podiatrists at Agoura-Los Robles Podiatry Centers perform a variety of surgical procedures at hospitals in the area, including the Thousand Oaks Surgical Hospital and Los Robles Surgical Center. Bunions, hammertoes, neuromas, ingrown nails, corns, and heel spurs are some common procedures we perform. Recently, Darren Payne has introduced an endoscopic Achilles tendon lengthening technique that leaves only a half inch scar and is performed under mild sedation.
Nail Care
Your one stop for all things nail care! From monthly maintenance including clipping and debridement to more urgent conditions like ingrown nails or nail fungus. We want to ensure your toenails are healthy and attractive, so you can walk around and be proud of your feet.
Biomechanical
The biomechanics of your foot are a huge influence on conditions of the foot, ankle, and leg that can result in pain. Flat feet, for example, will affect the pronation of your foot, which turns your ankle and then your knee. Orthotics are a great example of a means of treatment, however other options are available.
Diabetic Foot Care
Diabetes, believe it or not, is a very important condition to a podiatrist. Poor circulation and neuropathy are complications of diabetes that can lead to very severe conditions in the feet. Diabetic foot ulcers are a very serious issue, and if not treated quickly and properly they can escalate to an extent that results in the loss of a foot.
Children and Infants
At Agoura-Los Robles Podiatry Centers we handle all common child conditions, such as warts, sports injuries, ingrown nails, and orthotics. Our office also handles all of the more complicated childhood conditions with a variety of treatments, such as flat feet, juvenile bunions, pigeon toes, and toe walking.
Foot and Ankle Physical Therapy
Our Thousand Oaks office is proud to provide the expert services of two fantastic physical therapists to assist in all your recovery and prevention needs. We can now provide in-house physical therapy to all of our patients, including fully customized workouts and care plans, as well as cold laser therapy and kinesio taping. Using their expertise we can help you regain strength and balance, and show you ways to keep the ball rolling at home!
Fall Prevention
Recently, we have started a fall prevention program with our physical therapists in an effort to reinvigorate a sense of confidence in our patients who have a risk of falling. Through a combination of strengthening exercises in the office, workout plans for home, and an education on how to properly set up your home to be as safe as possible we will restore your ability to walk without fear.
Orthotics
Orthotics are a very valuable tool to have at a podiatry office, as we use them to fix a variety of conditions to reduce pain or correct biomechanics. Our practice works with a local orthotic producer to give us a fantastic turn around time, so we can help you fix your problems as soon as possible. We mold your feet in office to ensure the orthotic fits your foot and we can adjust them on the spot to be sure they are correcting the issue.
